Breakfast in an old lavatory

You may (or may not) have noticed lately that’s London businesses are moving underground – literally. From a high-tech salad farm in an old air raid shelter, to a cocktail bar through an old fridge, places for subterranean soiree are expanding. Attendant Cafe is no different. Except it’s a coffee shop in a disused Victorian Gentleman’s lav and, now, everyone’s invited.

Sip cold brew amongst the ornate cisterns, or a flat white with your feet dangling over the urinals. Curious, cosy and clandestine, you can escape from the hustle and bustle of Fitzrovia and be served one of the best coffee’s in the capital – the baristas take their craft particularly seriously.

Serving excellent breakfast, lunch and sweet treats, don’t let the cafe’s history put you off. It’s one of the best examples of progressive space in the city.
