Viktor Wynd museum of curiosities Mare Street

Little shop of horrors

At first glance, you might wonder why Viktor Wynd’s Museum of Curiosities is called as such, considering it looks like a small, old pub from the exterior. Cross the threshold, however, and walk past the bar, and you’ll find yourself having a pint with a giant stuffed lion wearing a bowler hat.

You’ll notice there’s a winding staircase leading somewhere dim and suspicious. Upon paying £5, you’ll be able to climb down to find out more. And, behold, more you will find. This museum-come-installation-come-evolving-piece-of-art-work is simply a cave of horror and curiosities.

Most of it is indescribable but, among other things, we promise you will find a collection of celebrity piss, butterfly wings, and the skeleton of a dancing rat. What more do you need?
