Floating pub on Thames
Moored between London’s historical Lambeth and Vauxhall Bridge, the Tamesis is a vibrantly coloured 1980s barge-come-pub that offers views over the capital’s most iconic sites – the Eye, Parliament, Westminster – and live music, as well as flamenco nights and stand up comedy.
Open mornings through to the late eve, it’s certainly a different place to enjoy brunch, lunch, or a few drinks with friends. Failing the latter, there’s often a freelancer or two on the barge during the day making the most of the free wifi and meditative atmosphere as the barge rocks on the waters of the Thames, so if you’re looking for somewhere different to send an email or two, it’s a fine choice.
